Soekarno Hatta Airport,Jakarta

Today is my second day here. I should be working in Jogjakarta rite now but as usual we can only plan.. god do the rest. since yesterday the flight to Jogjakarta fully booked which is the second thing that surprised me. The first thing is.. on the day we just arrived (me n my boss) , we’ve been to Terminal 1 Jakarta Airport which is the airport for domestic flights. wow.. there were a lot of airlines available.The environment is just like in Puduraya, pack with people, hawkers, airline agents asking for our destination, and etc. We walked nearly half a kilometer looking for available ticket to jogjakarta and yes… no ticket.
How’s Jakarta? hot.. so hot.. even hotter than Kuala Lumpur but no sunlight, its so hazy give no chance for sunlight to penetrate through the air. Information from my bos, Jakarta is the third air polluted city in the world after Mexico and Bangkok. The visibility is low.. around 2-3 kilometer i guess. Hehe that sounds that im already started doing my job here. :D ..
The interesting is there was one guy talked to me while im waiting for the standby ticket to jogjakarta which is not available then.. :(.

he grinned and said : “Bapak juga mau ke Surabaya?” and i replied.. “tidak.. jogjakarta”. The he asked again in indonesian slang that i don’t understand. I said “sorry..??” and he repeated but then again i don’t undrstand. so i replied “Sorry.. saya tidak faham.. saya dari Malaysia”. And he said “Oh iya ka? maaf.. saya ingatkan orang Indonesia.. wajahnya kuat seperti orang Indonesia” hahah… am i? He seems a nice guy so we’re having a little chit chat then.

Someone from the PT Nyra called Riko should entertain us as soon as we arrived in Jakarta. PT Nyra is the main contractor rewarded the contract to installed weather sensor in Adisucipto International Airport, Jogjakarta by the Indonesian Government. Then they appointed us as the sub-contrator to do the installation job. But then nobody show up to pick and bring us to Jogjakarta. Actually i have a bad feeling of this project. First is the delay, we should have started after raya but then delayed. Then PT Nyra boss suddenly having stroke cause the project to delay again. then Riko didn’t show up. My boss pissed of already but i can take this as a vacation.. hehe.
We took a ‘bluebird’ taxi to a hotel called Sofyan hotel. ‘Bluebird’ taxi is the blue colored taxi recommended by Mr. Teddy Soelartono (The project manager from PT Nyra ). Its a taxi company with good reputation of its services.

My first new song with Siren.. composed around August 2007. As usual the idea comes from my acoustic guitar, strumming a little bit to get the rhythm. At first, im thinking of a slow n relax song, as my first attemp to do a relax song (james blunt influence.. hehe). But then the strong rock sound comes from fadhli’s les paul turn it to be a rock n catchy song..
And the title is.. Yes.. it is “Dengarlah aku” though many people think it should be “Dengarkan aku” bcoz it is “what i want to hear from you are things that i want you to hear from me n say it to me back.. (though its not from your heart..hehe)” … anyway just listen to it.. and make your own perception… hehe

Iv been thinking to download this song since the first time i heard it from mixfm in my car with islah on our way to Alimp’s house for open house day (3 open house in a row ana’s house, farah’s house and m.nasir’s house). We just love to criticize songs, but this time we both love it.

yesterday i was struggling to upgrade my firefox 1.0 to 2.0 .. but today I realize that I dont regret that hours spent coz i have already started to gain the benefit of this new version of firefox. Actually, I got some problem with my laptop which is sometime hang for the reason of I havent spare some swap space ( i think so, coz im totally linux idiot when i installed this linux in my laptop). I know there is absolutely a way to set up the swap file but dont have time to figure it out. Then poor me, im always facing the system crash while doing my work, surfing the internet.. and etc. just now i was downloading new adobe acrobat version (coz the newer version can talk like human.. even say ‘papa jahat’.. haha) and surfing to some interesting site (while my boss watching like im researching for work stuff.. hehe) .. then suddenly.. the time stop, all things freezed.. no laa.. its only my system.. dammit.. not again.. then i restart my laptop with frustration. After everything started again, i click the firefox to start my search and download again.. then there is a popup asking if i want to restore my last browser tab?.. wow.. and i clicked yes.. and fuuuyooohh.. everything is there like the last time before my browser hung.. even the download is continue again.. damn great.. hmm .. ok thats all.. i have to finish my work today .. by hook or by crook.. coz i have taken 2 days leave start from tomorrow.. got recording session tomorrow, and also looking for a new electric guitar + effect.. ohh im broke.. tonite also got sonar’s photoshoot session.. dont want to miss it..

ps – if u have accidentally closed ur tab.. u can restore it again by pressing ctrl+shift+t

pdf file can be viewed by using browser? ohh.. surely can.. just click the view as html.. and u dont need to download it into ur machine.. but what can u see there? a plain text with stupid formatting, no picture, no tables.. no nothing.. but actually we can view it exactly as we download it by using the browser.. but how? thanks to namran.. new lesson today..

im using linux, adobe as my pdf reader and firefox 2.0 as my browser. cd into ur adobe program directory.. /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Browser/. then if u ls, u can see that there is a shell script file name install_browser_plugin. type sh install_browser_plugin and answer a few question. restart ur browser and search for a pdf file. click the link and magically u can view it exactly as u download it.. amazing!

Today i have installed the new mozilla firefox 2.0 then im working on upgrading my java plugin for hours, uninstall and reinstall my new jre 2-3 times, follow the instructions step by step like an idiot, but it just cannot work. then i delete all my java plugins inside and reinstall it again, then new prob came.. dependencies issue.. shit! dammit!.. then i sneaked out into namran’s laptop to figure out how he set that plugins. this guy already using the mozilla firefox 2.0. but still hitting the brick wall.. then.. u know.. at last.. i asked him how.. and he told me to copy the plugin inside the new jre (/jre1.5.0_11/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so) and paste it into /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/. and dammit.. it just works.

lesson – don’t upgrade to new firefox (hahaha)
